A New Mural Takes Shape in Thief River Falls
A new piece of public art is beginning to take shape on 4th Street in Thief River Falls, bringing together local creativity, community support, and a shared appreciation for the arts.
The mural, located on the Edward Jones building, is being created by local artist Trey Everett. While the finished artwork is still to come, the early stages of the project are already giving the community a glimpse of what’s ahead.
This mural celebrates the arts and the important role creativity plays in making our community vibrant and connected. The project was made possible through a grant from the Northwest Arts Council, whose support is helping bring more opportunities for public art to our community.
It Takes a Community
Projects like this don't happen without people willing to pitch in, and this mural has already received some great local support.
A special thank-you goes to Sam Lemke, a local business owner who volunteered his time to pressure wash the building in preparation for the mural. His generosity helped get the surface ready for Trey’s work and is a wonderful example of the community spirit that makes projects like this possible.
We’re grateful to everyone helping bring this vision to life, from the organizations providing support to the local businesses and individuals lending a hand.
Follow Along as the Mural Comes to Life
The mural is just getting started, and there’s still plenty to come. We’ll be sharing photos and updates throughout the process, documenting the preparation, progress, and transformation of the building.
We’re excited to watch Trey Everett’s vision develop and look forward to seeing the finished mural become a new piece of public art in Thief River Falls.
Stay tuned for more photos and progress updates as this colorful addition to our community takes shape! 🎨
